Illustration Friday-Robot

Being a fan of science fiction, my brain almost exploded with ideas for Robot. At first I thought of a huge mech with guns from head to toe. Then I sketched out a android that looked straight out of Star Wars. Then I thought back to a comic book called Battle Chasers. The booked married science fiction and fantasy with excellent artwork. It was short lived, but the use of technology and magic always stuck with me. So this is my little tribute to that comic book.

Illustration Friday-Spotted

For years, I've seen Elvis sightings in the World Weekly News while I'm in line at the drug store. I'm always disappointed that everyone who spots him claims that he's fatter than ever. I'd like to think that if Elvis faked his death, he decided to get back into shape so when someone spots him pumping gas in a small town somewhere(as drawn in this illo) he looks like the hip shaking Elvis of his youth.

Illustration Friday-Speed

If you were to ask my uncle Randy to define the word speed he'd probably define it as "a V-8 under the hood of a hot rod with four on the floor, just as God intended". I spent a year living with my aunt and uncle and in that time Randy introduced me to the world of hot rods. I still remember reading CARtoons magazine and drawing all sorts of cars, but Randy was the best at it. To this day I owe him a debt of gratitude for teaching me how to draw these monster machines.
